Testing Your Remote

You can test your remote with a digital camera, camcorder or picture cell phone. What you can do is act like you are filming or taking a picture of the front of the remote control.

When you push any of the keys you should see a white flash come from the front of the remote. You can see this through a camera and not with your naked eye.

If you see the white flash than you know the remote is transmitting and the problem is in the unit and not the remote.

To make sure you are using the proper technique, try this with a remote that you know works, before testing the questionable remote.
